  1. Prepare your pot or container with soil. 2-3 plants can be grown in a single container. Sow 1-2 seeds in a 2 cm deep hole in each pot or in holes located 10-12 cm apart from each other.  Cover it with a thin layer of soil and spray water gently, make sure the soil is moist.

  2. Keep the soil slightly moist all the time without over-watering the plant. The roots may rot if there will be improper drainage and too much water is sitting in the pot.

  3. As Ridge Gourd is a climber plant, So you need to build a trellis well in time for the plant. Keep the height of the trellis at least 6 ft. The plants can also grow vertically on a stretched fishing net. Whatever your trellis structure is make sure you have it in place by the time the ridge gourd plant is 15-20 cm tall.

  4. After 60-70 days after sowing, you can start picking the fruits.

Water Requirement: Keeping the soil moist at all times is vital. Do not overwater the plants as the roots may rot due to water logging in the soil


Harvesting: Pluck out your first harvest once the ridge gourd fruits mature. The plant will yield fruits for 30 days after this
